Sunday Funday...

Hey everyone! I know it's been almost a week since I posted and my beans are furry sorry. They have been so busy with work and the holiday that they forgot to leave the computer on for me! We had a delicious Turkey Day and I got some delicious leftovers! Who knew bird tasted better roasted? Here's some of my feral extended family enjoying leftovers out in the country!
So I am spending my Sunday Funday relaxing with Rachel and Evan and staying warm by the heater!

And here I am enjoying my new box!! I love boxes!

Mancat Monday

It's Mancat Monday and that means it's time for some manly pictures of my most recent mouse "hunt."
Unfortunately, I didn't make the kill. That sneaky mouse just kept darting right past me!!! Better luck next time!

Nothing like some nice temptayshuns after a strenuous hunt!

(secret) Jib-Jab Friday

So Rachel and Evan have been gone all day at work and I have been left to my own devices. Needless to say, I spent the majority of the day napping, with little spurts of surfing the Internet here and there. I went to www.jibjab.com and made an AWESOME video of Rachel, Evan and myself as elves doing a Christmas dance. Unfortunately... I showed Evan and Rachel, and they made me swear that I wouldn't show a soul...I am working on them, though. I mean, it's freaking hilarious. You all should check it out and make your own videos!! I will, however, post a picture I made on the website starring myself. Happy Furriday!

Thinking Thursday

So.. I took this quiz to find out which celebrity I am most like. They say I am like Owen Wilson! Owen Wilson? Really? I mean, he's an average actor, he is not nearly as handsome as me, and he can't speak clearly! They said I am an emotional train wreck! My biggest emotions are hungry, sleepy, happy, cuddly, not-so-cuddly, and curious. And believe me, they never train-wreck into one another. What do those stupid quizzes know anyways?? I, personally, think am debonair, educated, and handsome. Like Brad Pitt. You cats should take the quiz and find out what celebrity you are most like. I hope you have better luck than me!

Tuxie Tuesday-No more Futon!

Hey everyone! We've been so busy 'round here getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas that I had no time to post yesterday. My people sold my futon!! It's okay, though, it was super old. Now I have to go back to napping on the couch. Or maybe I will finally get used to the papasan chair that they recently acquired.

...On a less depressing note; today is Mickey Mouse's birthday! Happy birthday Mickey Mouse! Also, 188 years ago today, Antarctica was discovered! Not that I would ever want to go there. Brrr!!!

Easy Like Sunday Morning...pondering...

Sundays are good days for pondering whilst relaxing. It has been drawn to my attention that today, November 16th, is Button Day. Weird, right? So it made me wonder, what did humans use to fasten their shirts before their were buttons? And what if buttons were never invented?? Would we still use the word "Button" As in, "Leroy, push the play button so we can watch this movie already?" I think that maybe if humans didn't have buttons for their shirts, maybe all shirts would zip up. Or they would have to safety pin them closed. OR... their would be NO BUTTON DOWN SHIRTS AT ALL!!! Could you imagine? A world where people only wear t-shirts and pullover sweaters? Wow.. Deep thoughts, eh? Ok, back to being a lazy boy!

Saturday Caturday!!!

Hooray! Saturday is here!! I love the weekend! Cartoons are on, Rachel and Evan laze around like me (unless they have to work), and I get to sit at the window and watch the street become less busy than usual.

Yesterday, Rachel bought a new toy for me and Evan! It's a super cool remote-controlled mousey! I love it! I swear at first I thought the darn thing was real. It scared the bajeesus right outta me. We had fun with it all night!

Everyone have a great Caturday!! See ya tomorrow!

Mancat Monday!

The great Yoda once said "Do or do not, there is no try." This is an excellent adage to live by. However, when it comes to new and interesting foods... all one can do is try!

Yesterday, Evan and Rachel ordered pizza, so I asked them to get a side of anchovies so I could give 'em a try.
I tried smellin' 'em...I even licked one...but I just couldn't bring myself to put one of those things in my mouth! I'd take tuna or salmon over ANCHOVIES any day!

Formerly Feral Friday

So, I skipped posting yesterday...was feeling a little lazy..hehe...surprise! I'm lazy! I can't help it, though. My Rachel and Evan take such good car of me I hardly have to do a thing for myself. They've made it even easier for me lately. Putting extra water bowls around the apartment. Now I don't have to walk down the hall to get water..I can have it right in the kitchen...or the bedroom! :) Yay! I am so spoiled. Rachel told me if I'm really good, I can have some tuna later! I'll let y'all know how that turns out....

Life-Changing Experiences...

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." --Winston Churchill

I was up for a while last night thinking about the experiences that have shaped me into the cat that I am today, and a few came to mind.
1. I was born to a one-eyed feral cat named Cyclops. I had to learn very early to fend for myself. Fortunately for me, Evan and Rachel came along when I was about five weeks old and swooped me up. They took me to their house where it was nice and cozy. I quickly learned to love them and their home and I became a grateful cat for all that they did for me.

2. A few months after they brought me home, we had to leave for higher, safer ground because Hurricane Rita was lurking in the Gulf of Mexico. We went to a family member's lake-house and I had to very quickly learn how to adjust to being in such a different place, especially since I wasn't even allowed inside! This taught me that I can be very adaptable.

3. Our home was demolished by that Hurricane, so Rachel, Evan and me had to move in with some friends. At their house they had five dogs (but only 2 inside the house, thank goodness) and a sweet cat named Capo. We got along just smashingly. He became my bestest friend and I even got along with the dogs, too! This taught me that I can be not only friendly, but patient, too!

4. After sharing their home for a few months, me and Evan and Rachel found a new home to call our own. It is big and has fun hardwood floors for slipping and sliding. Shortly after moving in here, I was declawed so as not to ruin all the new stuff, which is totally fine with me 'cause now I can tickle Rachel with my toes instead of tearing her skin with my claws! It's nice to have the run of the place around here, too! And I still get the occasional cat-visitor. There was a silly girl named Copperpot who used to sit at my front door and have conversations with me late into the night. Living in this home has taught me that I can be....spoiled!

Fall Back!

Yawn! It's so late, but my Rachel is still up so I decided to hang out with her for a bit before curling up at the foot of the bed for the night. The poor dear just got home from work and needs some good cuddling! I've been thinking today maybe about tacking up a hobby... Chasing balls and ghost mice gets old after awhile... but of course, napping is my FAVORITE pastime of them all. I am glad I took up this blogging thing, though. I really look forward to making lots of friends and sharing my experiences with y'all! Okay, I think that's all the musing I can do for tonight!
